January 2027 Catalog Sale

Apply to have your art in our January 2027 Catalog Sale.

An online art auction for Southern California owners, collectors, and dealers. Every piece is hand selected, photographed by our team, and sold with a minimum you agree to.

Selected applicants get a preview of the catalog before anything is listed.

How it works

  1. Apply with photosOne to three photos and a line about the piece. Free to apply, no strings.
  2. We review itIf it's a fit, we send you an auction estimate, a proposed minimum bid, and our fee structure in writing.
  3. You decideNothing is listed until you agree. Bidding starts at your minimum, never lower, with no hidden reserves.
  4. We photograph and catalog itOur team handles the photos and the listing. Every home and situation is different, so we'll plan the details with you.
  5. Pickup day, and you're paidA few days after bidding closes, buyers collect their pieces and you're paid the same day.

You set the floor.

Bidding starts at the minimum we agree on together, never lower. If it isn't met, your piece doesn't sell, and we'll email you your options.

Art is personal, and value can be hard to judge. We'll give you an honest estimate, so your minimum gives your piece a real chance to sell.

What we accept

We keep each auction small so every piece gets real attention from bidders.

Yes, please

  • Original paintings and works on paper
  • Signed or numbered prints and lithographs
  • Sculpture
  • Art pottery and ceramics, like majolica and celadon
  • Decorative antiques
  • Interesting collections

We'll pass on

  • Mass produced decor prints
  • Furniture
  • Damaged pieces, unless truly significant
  • Pieces below our minimum value

Every piece needs to clear a minimum value to make the catalog. Not sure about yours? Send it anyway and we'll tell you honestly.

Easy for buyers, better for you.

Buying art online usually means arranging shipping on your own. We make it simple: pickup in several Southern California cities, delivery on select pieces, and shipping on request. Easier buying brings more bidders, and more bidders bring better prices.

Questions

Is this an appraisal?

No. We don't offer appraisals. Your application helps us decide whether your piece is a good fit for our catalog sale. If it is, we'll share our auction estimate, which is our honest opinion of what it may bring at auction, not a formal appraisal. If you need a formal appraisal for insurance or an estate, we can point you to a specialist.

What does it cost?

Nothing to apply. If your pieces are selected, we'll send you an auction estimate, a proposed minimum bid, and our fee structure, all in writing, before you agree to anything. Our fees come out of the sale, so you never pay us upfront.

Who can apply?

Anyone with art in Southern California, from San Diego to LA to Palm Springs. That includes families and individual owners, and also collectors, dealers, and resellers placing pieces from their own collections or inventory.

Where does my piece stay while bidding runs?

Depending on the piece, it can stay with you until pickup day or come to us. Every home and situation is different, so we'll agree on what works for you before anything is listed.

Do I have to ship anything?

No. Most buyers pick up their pieces or choose delivery. If a buyer asks for shipping, we handle the whole process, and the buyer pays all shipping costs.

What if my piece doesn't sell?

Then it keeps working for you. Nothing sells below your minimum, and an unsold piece still has options: our live auction nights, where 6,400+ followers bid from across the country, private sales to designers and collectors, or a future catalog sale. We'll recommend the best next step for your piece.

That's also why we don't accept every piece. We take art we believe will sell at a price everyone can live with.

When do I get paid?

On pickup day, usually a few days after bidding closes.

Need the money sooner? We can make a cash offer, paid the same day. See how cash offers work. Selling a larger collection or a whole home? A live auction held in your home pays out the same day it ends. Request a free plan.

How long is my piece committed?

Only until the catalog sale closes. If it doesn't sell, you choose what happens next: another channel, a future catalog sale, or taking it back.

Can you look at other things while you're here?

Yes, and we'd encourage it. Many homes hold more value than people expect: jewelry, silver, collectibles, furniture. If we come to photograph your piece, we're happy to look at anything else and tell you honestly what's worth selling. Request a free plan for the whole home.

Apply for the January 2027 Catalog Sale

Six quick steps, about two minutes, and free to apply. This isn't an appraisal service. It's how we find out if we're the right fit to sell your art. We review every application and accept the pieces we believe will sell well. If your photos don't give us enough to go on, we'll let you know and ask for better ones.

You can apply with up to 3 pieces at once. Have a larger collection? We handle those too, often in phases. See how we sell collections.

Step 1 of 6

Start with a photo.

Start with one piece. The front, plus a signature or the back if there is one, up to 3 photos. Clear, well lit photos help us say yes. You can add up to 2 more pieces near the end.
